Citizen Kane

Dave's dad became of citizen of the USA last Wednesday!!!  We TRIED to get in and we HEARD that it was really cool...but apparently you had to be there like 2-3 hours before it started to get in...and 10 minutes late didn't cut it.  (It was the biggest swearing in of new citizens in Utah history!  Over 750 people in that session alone.)  So we hung out at a little store down the street, bought some chocolate, then went to the UPS store to make these awesome signs for Stan. (Congrat/Ulations/Grandpa/Stanley!)  Well, not only did we miss the ceremony, but we then stood in the rain for like 30 minutes waiting for who we thought would be the only white guy with white hair in a sea of brown, until our signs and hair were ruined.  But it was worth it. :)  It only happens once in a lifetime!  Congrat Ulations Grandpa Stanley!  We love you!

Oh, and this was after when we went to lunch.  Apparently Eden thought her rice and beans would look nice on her head!

Congratulations to grandpa! My friend Melissa was among the 750 people that became a citizen that day. She said it was an incredible experience and that some of the testimonials of the people that received their citizenship that day were really touching. Maybe one day ... I'm not ready to give up me NZ citizenship yet though!
