Handy Manny

I just have to let everyone know how awesome my hubby is!  He decided one day to start finishing our basement, so he went to the store, bought some stuff, and started working on it.  He just started working like he knew exactly what to do.  And he did it... framed some walls, put in some lights (that turn on!), hung some duct work, etc.  And I am just amazed because I would have no idea where to even start.  I guess it's a guy thing... and probably a some-girls thing... just not a Kristen thing.  Oh, and he does a ton of other stuff around that house that is totally cool, like putting in a wall switch last night for the ceiling fan in our bedroom.  Even the part when he asked me to help hold the fan up for like 2 seconds so he could put the screw in almost made me cry.  (I don't care what he says... it was freakin' heavy!)  So, I'm way impressed, even though I'm probably not the best at always expressing it.  I love you hubby!  You're my own, real-live Handy Manny.

I know he has been working hard over there. Galen finished our basement also and I know how nice it is to have them be able to do it. If it were up to me that part of the house would of never of gotten done. I know what you are saying about the lights also, my arms felt like they were going to break off also. How do they do it by themselves?? Strong men!!!
Thanks for checking out my blog and for all your help with it! Thanks neighbor. :)

How great! I wonder if Stuart knows how to do that kind of stuff? It's so nice to have a man around the house. So glad to keep updated on your life! I loved your Congrat Ulations signs! It made me laugh! And the pirate quote brought me back to college -- Merrill Hall baby (113?) Oh, fun times!

It's so nice to marry a guy like that. My hubby sure tries, but sometimes he gets frustrated and reminds me that I married an accountant. He has learned a ton, though, and can take credit for a lot of our basement.
